When asked about ethics and sustainability, Jane recalls being dumbstruck as a child when Lake Erie became unswimmable and pollution caused a river near her home to catch fire. Years later, a discarded bottle washed ashore at her feet in Tortola – ironically one which she had recently designed. Amazing but true.

Jane is a charter member of O2NYC and a charter Silver Member of Sustainable Business Network NYC, fulfilling her interest in these issues. She attends professional events to keep up with business practices, design and sustainability initiatives, and is a member of the University of Cincinnati's Alumni Association.
